I’m Helen Jones — a specialist maternity photographer based in Anna Valley, just outside Andover, Hampshire. Maternity photography is at the heart of what I do: I aim to create natural, timeless images that celebrate your pregnancy and the quiet, powerful beauty of this chapter. As a mum of two, I understand how fleeting this time feels and I take pride in capturing images you and your family will treasure for generations. My approach is calm, mother-led and relaxed. I work closely with you in a cosy garden studio where lighting, textures and a limited, neutral palette allow the focus to remain on you and your bump. Whether you prefer intimate silhouette shots, elegant gown portraits, or natural partner-and-family images, I guide you through gentle posing and flattering shapes so you always look and feel wonderful — even if you’re not sure about being photographed. I have a selection of maternity gowns and fabrics available to borrow, and I’ll help you choose looks that create the timeless portraits I’m known for. I’m a qualified photographer (City & Guilds with distinction) and a Licentiate member of the Societies of Wedding & Portrait Photographers (LSWPP). I regularly update my baby-and-child first aid training and bring professional experience in lighting, posing and careful editing to every session. My focus is on creating authentic moments rather than forced poses — the images I produce are natural, unhurried and designed to work beautifully as framed wall art or keepsake prints. Sustainability matters to me. With a background in the environmental sector, I run an eco-conscious business — from studio energy choices to ethically sourced suppliers and eco-friendly products — so your photography has a mindful footprint. Your session includes a pre-shoot consultation so we can plan outfits and ideas, and a relaxed in-person viewing where you’ll choose images for prints or digital files.
