I’m Gintare, the photographer behind G. Silk Photography, and I specialise in maternity photography for families across Barnsley and surrounding areas. As a mum myself, I know how precious and fleeting pregnancy moments are. My goal is to create timeless, natural maternity photos that celebrate this unique chapter—without stiff posing or bright studio lights. I work with expecting mothers to capture genuine emotion and the beautiful shape of your bump in a calm, flattering way. My approach is gentle and simple: minimal posing, natural window light, and a focus on connection. Whether you choose a studio session in my cosy Cudworth space or prefer a location that feels personal to you, I aim to make the experience relaxed and enjoyable. I offer a short consultation before your shoot so we can discuss styling, the best time in pregnancy (I usually recommend around 30–34 weeks), and any ideas you’d like to include. Partners and older children are warmly welcomed to join the session—these photographs are about your family and the story you’re building together. Stylistically my sessions are minimal and soft: neutral tones, uncluttered backdrops and natural poses so the focus stays on you. I have a small client dress collection available to help you feel confident in front of the camera, and I’ll give gentle direction throughout to help you feel comfortable and natural. My aim is to capture authentic portraits that will sit beautifully in your home and become keepsakes you’ll treasure for years. Choosing G.
