I’m Louise Murnane, a specialist maternity photographer based in Elsenham on the Bishops Stortford border. As a mum of three and a professional photographer since 2012, I understand how precious pregnancy is—those quiet, expectant moments deserve to be celebrated and preserved with care. I take time to get to know you before the shoot so we can design a session that feels comfortable and true to you—whether you prefer a gently styled outdoor shoot in a favourite local spot, or a calm, at-home session in your own surroundings. I guide you with gentle, semi-posed direction so you look and feel natural, allowing genuine connection and emotion to shine through. Light, composition and small details—like the curve of your bump, hands, and the way you and your partner interact—are what create images you’ll reach for again and again. Working with families and newborns as well, I bring a sensitivity to each maternity session that ensures your comfort and safety are always top priority. If you’d like partner or sibling shots, I’ll help make them relaxed and spontaneous so the photos reflect real relationships rather than staged moments. My aim is to create a calm, enjoyable experience where you can relax and be present—I handle the photography so you can focus on the moment. After your session you’ll receive a carefully edited selection of images via a private gallery, ready to share or print.
