I’m Rachel Sloan — an award-winning maternity photographer based just outside Bishops Stortford in Hatfield Heath. Maternity photography is one of the moments I love to create: a chance to celebrate your changing body, your growing bump and the quiet, beautiful anticipation that comes with expecting a baby. How I work: sessions take place in my cosy Hatfield Heath studio where I offer a hand-selected wardrobe of maternity outfits, drapes and fabrics to style your shoot. I recommend booking any time from around 26–34 weeks so you’ll have a lovely bump while still feeling comfortable — but I always tailor timing to how you’re feeling. Partners and children are welcome to join; I’ll give gentle posing direction and relaxed prompts so we capture authentic connection as well as elegant individual portraits. During the shoot I focus on flattering, natural light and considered posing to highlight your silhouette and emotion. After the session you’ll be invited to a personalised viewing where we select the images and discuss the best printing and wall-art options to suit your home.
