I’m Francesca — a Cambridge-based maternity photographer who specialises in creating simple, organic and timeless pregnancy portraits. As a mother of three, I understand how fleeting pregnancy feels and how precious those images become. My work focuses on elegant black & white and natural-colour photographs that put your bump and your connection with your family at the centre. Why choose me for your maternity photoshoot? My approach is deliberately pared-back: I use minimal props and soft, natural light so nothing distracts from the moment you’re celebrating. Whether you prefer a studio shoot in my Cambridge space or a relaxed outdoor session in the fields behind the studio, I’ll suggest poses, moods and settings that flatter your shape and reflect your style. Many clients tell me the session felt more like a beautiful experience than a photoshoot — that calm, personal atmosphere helps you relax and be present, which makes the images honest and timeless. How I work: before your session we’ll have a conversation about the look you love and the music that makes you feel at ease. I’ll send a welcome brochure with styling tips, and in the studio I offer a selection of dresses, fabrics and lingerie so you don’t need to worry about sourcing outfits. Partners are always encouraged to join and I’ll guide you gently through poses, giving direction until I can step back, observe and capture the most candid, authentic moments. My studio is designed for comfort — bright with natural light, private changing spaces and thoughtful touches to make the session easy for expecting mothers. If you prefer an outdoor maternity shoot, I know the local light and have favourite spots that work beautifully at sunrise or sunset. For clients who want something more cinematic, I also offer Francesca’s heART FUSION — an artistic fusion of music, images and video that can accompany your maternity session. My philosophy is simple: create lasting images that feel like you.
