I’m Toni Field — an award-winning, Colchester-based maternity photographer with a Fine Art background. For more than a decade I’ve specialised in maternity portraiture, helping Colchester mums celebrate their pregnancy with timeless, magazine‑style images and bespoke wall art that become family heirlooms. How I work: sessions are booked when you feel your bump is at its best (I usually suggest from around 28–38 weeks), and we start with a pre-session consultation to discuss wardrobe, mood, and display goals. In my cosy Mersea Island studio I provide lighting, backdrops and styling guidance; you’re welcome to include personal items that make the portraits yours. I personally finish every image with professional retouching, keeping skin natural while gently smoothing distractions so your portrait remains authentic and elegant. The experience is calm and collaborative. I aim to make you feel relaxed and confident in front of the camera, guiding every pose and moment with patience and an eye for flattering lines. After the shoot we hold a private viewing where I help you choose favourite images and plan gallery layouts or albums tailored to your home. My work is shown locally — I’m proud to display a selection in the Colchester Hospital maternity gallery — and I take great care to produce archival prints and frames crafted to last.
