I specialise in maternity photography that feels warm, honest and entirely you. Based in Darton and Yorkshire born and raised, I love working with expecting mothers to create maternity photos that celebrate this fleeting, magical chapter. My approach is relaxed and natural — think gentle direction, a sense of fun and plenty of opportunity to capture quiet, intimate moments as well as joyful, candid interaction. Whether you prefer a bump photography session in my home studio or a pregnancy photoshoot on location, I’ll work with you to plan a session that suits your style. I can provide outfits and use of simple props, or we can style around garments you already love. Partners and children are very welcome — I often photograph the whole family so your gallery includes those affectionate, everyday connections as well as classic maternity portraits. Timing matters: most clients find the best window for a maternity photoshoot is between 24–38 weeks, when the bump is beautifully defined and you still feel comfortable. I’ll talk you through timing, outfit ideas and practical considerations in a friendly pre-shoot chat so you feel confident and comfy on the day. My sessions are gentle and unhurried. I give clear guidance on posing but favour a natural, documentary feel — capturing the emotion and personality of this time rather than overly stiff, posed images. Soft light, simple backdrops and a few well-chosen props help keep the focus on you and the connection you share with your growing family. Photography is my craft and people are my passion. I studied photography at Leeds City College and bring that technical know-how to every shoot, along with a recent focus on newborn safety and posing so I’m mindful of the continuity from bump to baby.
