I’m Roxy from RoxieArt Photography, based in Hartley, and I specialise in maternity photography for expecting mothers. My approach is gentle, relaxed and personal. Before your session we’ll have a pre-session consultation to discuss your vision, styling and any special requests. Many clients love using my Client Wardrobe for flattering maternity pieces, but I’m equally happy to work with outfits you bring. I favour soft, natural light and comfortable, uncluttered settings — whether you prefer the warmth of my cosy home studio or the golden tones of a nearby location — so your portraits feel timeless and authentic. During the shoot I am a quiet observer, steering moments rather than staging them. I’ll guide you into poses that feel natural and flattering, encouraging real smiles, tender connections and intimate portraits that tell your story. Sessions are unhurried to allow for pauses, outfit changes and those tender family moments you’ll want captured. I often include gentle family shots when partners or children join, because those relational images become some of the most treasured keepsakes. After the session, I spend hours hand-editing each chosen image to create the best colour and black-and-white conversions — I care about detail, tone and warmth because each picture should feel like a memory. You’ll be invited to an in-person viewing to choose the images you love and discuss presentation options; whether you want digital files, fine art prints or wall pieces, I can help craft a beautiful way to display your maternity story at home. With over a decade photographing families and mothers-to-be, I bring experience, patience and a true love for this work.
