I’m Jodie — a Hythe-based maternity photographer who specialises in creating calm, beautiful and authentic maternity photography for expecting mothers. Pregnancy is a short, miraculous chapter and my aim is to preserve how you feel in that moment: empowered, excited and utterly connected to the life you’re carrying. Why choose me? My approach is relaxed and friendly — I’ll put you at ease, guide simple but flattering posing, and let your connection, movement and personality lead the session. My style sits comfortably between timeless and natural: soft, flattering light, uncomplicated styling, and images that feel honest and elegant. I’ll help choose locations, suggest wardrobe ideas that flatter your bump, and support you with any styling questions so you feel confident in front of the camera. How I work with you: sessions are collaborative and calm. We'll discuss your ideas beforehand and plan the best time (I often recommend the late second / early third trimester when you’re comfortable and the bump is beautifully defined). On the day I move at your pace — there’s no rush, plenty of gentle direction and time for breaks. My goal is to capture natural moments, quiet portraits and those intimate connections with partners or older children if you’d like them included. Based in Hythe and photographing across Kent, I focus on maternity as a core specialty. I take pride in delivering a thoughtful, professional experience and a gallery of images you’ll treasure for years.
