I’m Georgina, the photographer behind Life Is Beautiful Photography in Ipswich, and maternity work is at the heart of what I do. Since 2012 I’ve dedicated my practice to capturing the quiet power and joy of pregnancy — those fleeting moments when you are carrying a new life and your family story is changing shape. As a BA (Hons) Photographic Art graduate and an award-winning maternity photographer, I bring technical skill and a deeply personal, artistic eye to every session. My approach is simple: create a calm, welcoming atmosphere where you feel confident, proud and radiant. Sessions are relaxed and guided — I help with posing, wardrobe and styling so the images feel effortless and true to you. I offer a selection of professional maternity gowns and carefully chosen backdrops to craft looks that range from classic and fine-art to natural and contemporary. Whether you want soft, intimate portraits that celebrate your silhouette or more stylised, editorial images of your bump, I’ll work with you to find the mood that tells your story. Because this time is so short-lived, I prioritise creating portraits that will stand the test of time. I aim for images that feel timeless, emotive and beautifully finished, so your children and future generations can see how proud and excited you were to welcome them. The session experience is personalised from start to finish: we’ll discuss ideas before the shoot, I’ll guide you through the session itself, and I carefully edit each photograph to bring out its best qualities. While my core focus is maternity and portraiture, I understand many families choose to continue their photographic journey with newborn and family portraiture afterwards. I happily discuss combining sessions or planning a maternity-to-newborn timeline so your memories flow together naturally. My studio is located on Woodbridge Road in Ipswich (Westbury House) with free onsite parking and is open by appointment.
