I’m Julia — a specialist maternity photographer based in North Watford, Hertfordshire. With a relaxed, friendly and easy-going approach I create maternity images that celebrate this extraordinary, fleeting moment in your life. My aim is simple: to help you feel comfortable and beautiful in front of the camera so I can capture the intimacy, quiet confidence and wonder of pregnancy in an authentic, timeless way. My style is natural and creative. I favour soft, emotive portraits that focus on connection — the curve of the bump, a partner’s supportive hand, the contemplative quiet before your little one arrives. Sessions can take place in my home studio in Watford or on location in a natural spot nearby; I often suggest locations within a ten mile radius to capture outdoor light and a relaxed atmosphere. Wherever we shoot, I take the time to listen, tailor the session to what you feel most comfortable with and guide you gently through poses and moments so everything feels effortless. I believe great photographs come from relationships. Over 20 years as a portrait photographer has taught me the value of patience, humour and a calm presence — qualities many clients describe as my “patience of a saint.” Whether you are camera-shy or glowing with confidence, I work at your pace, creating a warm, encouraging environment so you can relax and enjoy the experience.
