Hi — I’m Melanie (Mel) from Mel Hudson Photography, based in Carrickfergus. I specialise in relaxed, lifestyle maternity and bump photography created to be gentle, natural and true to you. My approach is simple and personal. I want you to feel comfortable — not posed or pressured. Whether we meet at home where you feel most at ease, or we head to a favourite local spot for a soft, natural-light outdoor session, I work slowly and thoughtfully, watching for the small gestures and the quiet connections that tell your story. I look for the way your hands rest on your bump, the way partners share a smile, the light that flatters your skin and the small details you’ll want to remember. As a mum myself and an introvert with a camera, I know how to create a calm atmosphere where expecting mothers can relax and be themselves. I bring patience, a warm manner and years of experience photographing families and maternity moments across Carrickfergus and around Northern Ireland. My aim is to capture images that feel like you — authentic, tender and full of feeling — images you’ll want to print, frame and return to again and again.
