Pregnancy is a fleeting, magical time — I’m Gemma Langley and I specialise in maternity photography from my garden studio between Gelligaer and Oakdale, Blackwood. As a mother of two with many years’ experience working with families and expectant parents, I understand how important it is to capture the quiet confidence and beauty of this chapter. My aim is to create relaxed, flattering images that celebrate your bump and the unique story you’re living. My approach is personal and reassuring. Before your session we’ll talk about the look you love — natural, timeless portraits, soft and airy tones or something moodier and dramatic — and I’ll help with simple wardrobe and posing ideas so you feel comfortable and confident. I encourage gentle movement, connection with partners or siblings if you’d like them included, and natural, unforced expressions that reflect how you feel right now. You’ll be welcomed into my purpose-built studio in Oakdale where the atmosphere is calm and private. There’s a comfortable space to relax and I’ll lead the session at your pace, guiding you through poses and lighting that flatter your shape. From practical tips on timing (many clients prefer 32–34 weeks) to how to prepare on the day, I’ll support you every step of the way so the experience feels enjoyable, not stressful. After the shoot I carefully edit the images and deliver them via a private online gallery so you can view your photos in the comfort of your home. I work closely with a professional lab to ensure prints, canvases and wall art reflect the tones and quality you see on screen — because these images are made to be cherished and displayed.
