I’m Clare, the photographer behind C&A Photography Studio, and I specialise in maternity photography from my studio in Tonypandy, Rhondda Cynon Taff. Photography has been my passion for years — I studied through college and went on to achieve a BA (Hons) in photography — and there’s nothing I love more than creating gentle, honest images that celebrate the journey into motherhood. Maternity is a core focus of my work. I believe these months are precious and fleeting, and my aim is to provide expecting mothers with relaxed, timeless portraits that feel authentic. Maternity sessions are best captured between 28 and 34 weeks: at that stage the bump is beautifully defined, and we can work together to create flattering, emotive images that you’ll treasure. My style blends natural, documentary moments with light, guided posing — I’ll put you at ease with a warm, conversational approach while helping you find flattering angles and comfortable poses. The studio is a calm, welcoming space where you can feel confident and comfortable. I take pride and care in everything I do, treating each session as a privilege. Many clients tell me they appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and how I gently guide them through the shoot — it’s important to me that you enjoy the experience as much as the final photographs. If you’d like, partners and immediate family can join parts of the session so we capture connection as well as the mum-to-be alone. Because I specialise in maternity, I focus on the details that matter: soft lighting, flattering shapes, and honest emotion.
